Maureen Doyle McQuerry

Maureen Doyle McQuerry is an award winning poet, author and teacher. She has taught for twenty years, specializing in Young Adult literature and writing, and in gifted education. She was the 2000 McAuliffe Fellow for Washington State. Maureen has published two non-fiction books, Nuclear Legacy, which won an Independent Bookseller Award and Student Inquiry.
Her most recent published work is The Travelers' Market, the second of a middle grade fantasy trilogy, The Wolfproof Trilogy.

Maureen is a teaching artist with the Washington State Arts Commission and gives author presentations and workshops for students in 5th - 12th grade on poetry and fiction writing. She lives in Richland, Washington with her husband, a dog and a grandparrot while her two children have exciting adventures traveling the world.
